H.L. Mainly stormy guitars, galopping drums, rough vocals and brain-crushing riffs, this is "Satanic Upheaval". A classic satanic black metal release with several catchy and atmospheric moments, although there is no symphonic element in this sinister sound. Strange, that the most striking songs come only at the end: "Barren Lands", "Satanic Upheaval" or "Cursed by the light". Rousing! Favorite track: Barren Lands.

Frenchie Their tightest performances yet. Amazing production from Chris at Noiseboy. Cold, trve, grim and frostbitten black metal done the old school way.

UK black metal outfit Burial have joined forces with Apocalyptic Witchcraft and are set to release their third album ‘Satanic Upheaval’ through the label
on 08th May 2020.
The band who hail from the bleak industrial landscapes of Manchester dedicate their raw no frills brand of extreme metal to the grim, goat worshipping origins of the black metal genre.
‘Satanic Upheaval’, Burial’s 3rd album, follows their take on occult themes with a misanthropic view of the world. The album was recorded by Chris Taylor at Noiseboy Studios and mastered by at Foel Studios by Chris Fielding (Conan, Electric Wizard, Primordial, Winterfylleth).
The year 2020 also sees Burial’s 15th anniversary and the trio will celebrating this milestone by releasing the most complete vision of their sound to date, followed by a number of UK live dates.
The band comments: “we are incredibly excited to sign with Apocalyptic Witchcraft for our new release and look forward to working with them on this album which is the most complete representation of our sound as a band to date, a body of work that are very proud of and are eager to share with the world”.
